This course is meant for students of the humanities/commerce streams, to 
provide an overview of the nature of S&T and its impact on society. It will 
also provide a broad introduction to the most significant discoveries and 
inventions of modern science that have changed our lives and to bring into 
focus the need for developing a critical appraisal of the issues related to the 
connection of S&T with society. This course will help to develop scientific 
temper among the students.

Introductory Quantum Mechanics for semester 5

This course introduces the fundamentals of polymers, ceramics and composite materials, emphasizing their structure, types and applications. It covers important mechanical, thermal, electrical, optic and magnetic properties and their role in material performance. The practical component focuses on measurement and analysis of these properties using standard testing techniques.
